SAMA ART

OUR MISSION

Sama Art’s mission is to transcend the barrier of language in order to make prime content accessible to viewers globally. We also strive to produce premium, locally-relevant, and attractive content for Middle-Eastern viewers

OUR VISION

We aim to help create a multicultural, multilingual community of TV entertainment aficionados, who recognize and passionately appreciate the universal power of a good story and spark their activity within the MENA media industry.

We seek to push some boundaries and eliminate others. Pushing the boundaries of quality by taking the region’s media production to higher standards. And eliminating the boundaries between generations by creating an environment where our seasoned veteran professionals inspire the young talents we train and nurture, and where newcomers are given the opportunity to challenge the system and enrich it with their imaginative and vigorous ideas.

SAMA ART

OUR LEADERSHIP

Founder: ADIB KHAIR

SAMA ART was established by the late acclaimed Syrian producer and entrepreneur Adib Khair, an industrial engineer with an MBA from City University, New York.

What sets Adib apart was the unique combination of his creative vision and business mindset. He challenged the norms and defied the typical producer’s role in the region. Other than producing many household titles in television and theatre, Adib is known for sparking a revival of the pan-Arab trend in television drama at the beginning of the millennium by creating the series Ruby, which was shot in locations in several Arab countries, while featuring top-rank stars from each country.

He also launched the massively popular wave of Arabic-dubbed Turkish drama in the region with the series Çemberimde gül oya - اكليل الورد. Following Adib’s sudden death in 2013, his beloved wife, Ruba El-Khash, took over the business.

Current CEO: RUBA EL-KHASH

After the passing of her beloved husband, Ruba, who has a degree in political science from the University of Arizona and a master’s degree in education, found herself responsible overnight for leading the company and its vast array of projects in the Middle East and North Africa.

She quickly showed that she was up to the challenge, not only by maintaining the company’s existing workflow, but by actually diversifying the business and implementing successful expansions.

Ruba kept Adib Khair’s legacy alive and added her own vision into managing the company. Under her leadership, Sama Art remains a leader and a trendsetter in several media fields. Her relentless efforts to meet the highest international standards led Sama Art to become a dubbing partner with Netflix and a founding member of the "Entertainment Globalization Association", based in Los Angeles, United States.
